POLICIES & PROCEDURES

To achieve a soothing, relaxed and enhanced Spa experience at Beneath The Surface, we kindly request our guests to observe our spa policies.

We have listed answers to the most FAQ’s (Frequently Asked Questions) that will guide you when you visit our spa.  Please feel free to contact us with any additional questions or concerns.

Appointments:

Due to the popularity of our unique services, we highly recommend you make an reservation in advance for any of our relaxing treatments.  However, we will always do our best to accommodate your requests.

A major credit card is required to hold your reservation(s).

You can email us to schedule an appointment and we will reply as soon as possible.  The information you provide us will not be sold or disclosed to any outside party.

You can also book on line at www.spafinder.com, under find spa, put Beneath The Surface and follow the “Book Now” link.

Cancellations:

The time needed for your service(s) or Spa Package that you schedule is reserved exclusively for you.  If you need to cancel a reservation or reschedule one, we require 24-hour notice for individual services and 48-hours on packages of 2 services or more.  Please call us at 973-520-8809, if no one answers, leave your message on our voicemail.

 We reserve the right to charge your credit card if the appointment is cancelled or rescheduled in less than the notice required by this Cancellation Policy – 30% of the service will be charged for cancellations and changes made within 12 hours of the scheduled appointment.  Any cancellations or changes made within 4 hours of the scheduled appointment will be charged 100% of the appointment cost.

Check In:

Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your first scheduled appointment.  Late arrivals will be subject to a shortened appointment, so the next guest will not be delayed and you will be charged for the full value of the service.

Please check in at the front desk.  If this is your first visit with Beneath The Surface please fill out the appropriate spa forms for our record.

For any questions or inquiries, please ask the assistance of the front desk representative before doing your treatment.

Restrictions:

For your convenience of other clients, please do not bring your pet and children under age 12 to the Spa without another adult present to supervise them.

 As a consideration of other guests, please turn off your cell phone or pager while inside the Spa.

 We also suggest you leave your valuable items at home when doing your treatment, we will not be responsible to lost or damage of your personal items.

 Any sexual solicitations are not tolerated and will be reported to the authorities.

 Please remember that the room must be prepared and used for the next client and should be vacated after treatment upon completion of service within a reasonable amount of time.

We do not allow smoking inside the Spa.

Health, Allergy or Pregnancy Concerns:

When visiting or calling for your appointment, please make sure to notify our staff if you have any health conditions, limitations, allergies to medications or fruits, physical ailments, medications you are currently taking, or if you are pregnant.

We also encourage for you to alert our esthetician/therapist/technician immediately for any discomfort during your treatment.

Gift Cards/Certificates:

Gift Cards/Certificates are always welcome and can be used towards treatment.  They will be honored for Spa Services.  Your Gift Card should be presented at check out, otherwise you will be responsible for any changes incurred during your visit to the Spa.

 Gift Cards and Gift Certificates are available for purchase at the front desk, we can email you the gift certificate if you can’t come in to pick it up and we also accept

Spa Finder Gift Certificates/Cards.

Payment:

We accept cash, local personal checks, major credit cards, Spa Finder Gift Certificates/Cards and Beneath The Surface Gift Certificates/Cards.

 Gratuities:

Gratuities (or tips) are not included in our prices, but are highly appreciated by our staff.  The standard gratuity is 15% – 20% of the cost of service provided.
